Good to know
- Recognition is done by your browser’s built-in speech service - in Chrome that is Google’s, in Edge it is Microsoft’s. Our site has no server and stores nothing.
- Best in Chrome or Edge on desktop and Android. Firefox does not support this browser feature yet.
- Speak steadily and stay close to the mic; short pauses are fine, the tool keeps listening.
Which languages can I dictate in?
English (US and UK), Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, German and French. Pick the language before you start.
Is my voice sent to OneJobTool?
No. We have no server to send it to. Your browser’s own speech service does the recognition - in Chrome that service is run by Google, in Edge by Microsoft. Nothing is stored by us.
Why did it stop on its own?
Browsers pause recognition after longer silences or a minute or two of speech. Just click Start again - everything you dictated stays in the box.
